In the early nineteenth century, this hotel was situated in a popular area and was a famous holiday destination. It is in 1904 that this hotel was built. Currently it's still visible that it was once a luxury hotel. There is not much left of the allure of the past is. The rear has been completely collapsed and the front thus does not take long in coming.
Currently there are several floors that have collapsed, rotten roofs, broken stairs etc. The higher you get in the building the floors will even be more rotten. Still a nice part of the hotel is the room with the piano and the room next door with windows in the ceiling. There is not much information about the history of this hotel. Only that it is finally abandoned around 2000.
The future also looks not too bright either. Upon our arrival at the hotel there were large gates bearing huge posters with the announcement of the demolition of the hotel and a complete new structure with its aim to make apartments for sale. The question remains for us when the start of the demolition will take place.
It remains difficult to make interesting pictures of such a location. There is in fact not much atmosphere left. The only things we mentioned where gray ripped pieces of wallpaper and dark areas. I have tried to make the best of it.
