This house was originally built around the year 1820 as a mill. Soon it burned down. On the old foundations a small castle was built. This castle was bombed in World War II and lost for an part both towers. One of the towers had battlements originally. These are no longer present.
The house is named hermitage because of its remoteness. There may have lived aa recluse, at our visit it thoe house looked as if the owner could come in at any moment. The most insane collection of belongings were present. The earlier images from the Internet taught me that unfortunately this property the hand of visitors have done any good. Many things have disappeared or moved or demolished. Nevertheless, this has become one of my favorite locations.
