Around the year 1850 the former owner founded this factory. At first the factory was meant for making basic paper stuff for the production of paper . The production of paper originally didin't start at this location but only from 1875. In 1900 a water tower was added. The former owner should have lived in a part of the property. He also has built a castle on the factory ground but this is already (end of 2015 ) demolished. A part of the property also included a smithy.
At this moment its current premises are in huge decline and are almost empty. Only in one part of the building are still old cabinets. Also the factory itself is empty, except from some old gantry cranes. Furthermore, the property still contains a great marble staircase. Visiting the stairs also provides an insight of a beautiful stained glass window .
The future: it is to be expected that in the year 2016 all buildings on the factoryground will be demolished. Then the site will be made suitable for housing.
On the day of my visit the weather was gray and rainy. Little lighting to be seen. Only just before the sunset i could capture a small glimpse of....
